Committee Welcome

Welcome to 2023/24 season, our 56th as a competing centre. We are looking forward to some exciting new changes and innovations to ensure all athletes can compete in a safe, fun and family-friendly environment. We had record numbers of registered athletes last season, and this year is shaping up to be another big year. Williamstown has also been selected to host the Western Metro Region Carnival this February so it will be a fantastic opportunity for all athletes to compete against athletes from other centres on home soil.

Coaching will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday as well as possibly Wednesday. Times to be confirmed but there are likely to be a variety of sessions to choose from between 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

It is essential that all parents/carers register with TeamApp this year via their phones as this our main source of communication to parents. Event cancellations, weekly competition updates, training and state and regional team information will be communicated via Team App. We ask at a minimum you read the weekly newsletter posted in the "news section".

Sign up for duty roster will be done on Sign UP Genius.  You can sign up for duty here.

The duty roster link is also on TeamApp.

You will be required to select at least five duties throughout the season. This is a condition of registration and for your child/children to qualify to participate in Centre Champsionship Day held in March. There are some helpful videos on TeamApp to assist you learn the roles required and also don't hesitate to reach out to one of our friendly committee members if you would like to discuss a volunteer role to suit your own circumstances. For example, we are looking for volunteers to assist with canteen planning for the Region Carnival, and for someone to help co-ordinate uniform sales. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please email Rebecca at williamstownpresident@lavic.com.au

We hope you all enjoy the season ahead, and we welcome feedback and comments via our website. We encourage all parents to become involved as coaches, age-group managers and getting to know other parents through performing duties.

Together we all can make the 2023/24 season successful and enjoyable for everyone.
