Cross Country is an important part of Little Athletics. It is our winter season activity for those who like the longer distances and enjoy a different style of competition. It is beneficial for building strength and stamina for the next summer (track & field) season or for other sports & activities.
The winter cross country season is open to all age groups and includes various distances from 1km to 3km. Competitions are held weekly on Saturday mornings at 9:30am at Newport Lakes, there are also opportunities to race against other athletes from Werribee and Altona.
