Welcome to Williamstown Little Athletics!

Track & Field Season 2023/24 starts on Saturday, October 7. We would like to extend a big welcome to all returning athletes, new members and trial participants also.

​

If you have registered for a trial via Little Athletics Victoria, you will shortly receive an email from our Registrar explaining next steps (if you don't receive this within 48 hours of registering, please check your spam folder). At Williamstown, we don't host a specific trial session: trialling athletes are welcome to turn up to the next Saturday morning competition once they have signed up. Just remember to wear the trial "patch" that was emailed to you from Little Athletics Victoria. You might also find the Frequently Asked Questions section on this website helpful. We look forward to seeing you at the track!

 

Little Athletics is an excellent foundation sport, providing an opportunity for kids to learn athletics skills, improve their fitness, build confidence and have fun meeting new friends.

Williamstown Little Athletics Centre is a member of Little Athletics Victoria. More than 400 children and teenagers participate in Little Athletics at WLAC. We commenced operations in 1967, making us the ninth Centre to affiliate, which is why our centre number is "9".

Williamstown Little Athletics Centre offers summer track and field programs and winter cross country events for young athletes aged from 5 to 16. The track and field events are held from October to mid March each year at Newport Park Athletics track - right next to the Newport power station. We run on Saturday mornings with the U6 from 8.30 to approx 9.30 and U7-U8 age group from 8.30-10.00, U9-U17 age groups from 10:00am until approx 12:30pm. There are also occasional midweek twilight meetings.
